Vision
The vision of the Agricultural Economics Master’s Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture UGM in 2030 is the realization of a leading agricultural economics postgraduate education program with a national and international outlook oriented towards the nation’s interests and the society’s welfare based on Pancasila. This ambition aligns with the vision of the Faculty of Agriculture and Gadjah Mada University. It is based on developing concepts and strategies for the University and Faculty of Agriculture in growing and advancing science and technology to support economic development in general and agriculture in particular. This vision is oriented towards a better future, namely the existence of an agricultural economic system approach in economic development based on developments in science and technology, the business world, industry, organizational culture both nationally and globally, organizational values, high competence, and meeting established standards of excellence. Very well socialized among the academic community.
Mission
The mission of the Agricultural Economics Master’s Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture Gadjah Mada University, is to develop the capabilities of the Agricultural Economics Master’s Study Program and Agricultural Economics Master’s graduates in the fields of education, research and community service so that they can play an active role in economic development in general and agriculture in particular, both nationally, internationally and globally. In detail, the mission of the Agricultural Economics Master’s Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture UGM includes:
- Carrying out education that produces superior graduates of national and international standards with a master’s degree in Agricultural Economics who master the science of Agricultural Economics and can develop it.
- Developing agricultural economics in research activities at national and international levels and formulating policies in the field of agricultural economics.
- Apply research results and develop them in community and community service activities.
Considering that agricultural development problems are increasingly complex (globalization, competition, environment, nature, and so on), the Master’s Program in Agricultural Economics, Faculty of Agriculture UGM, and its graduates must be sensitive and able to solve these problems.
